Special Education

The Waimea College Special Education Department is an integral part of the College and students have a range of inclusion and specialist subject opportunities and also enjoy the peer tutoring programme and being part of the leadership initiatives across the school.

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)

We believe that having access to a device that is used thoughtfully can enhance student’s learning, allowing them to be connected, collaborative and creative in ways that would not be possible otherwise.

Online Learning

Waimea College use Office 365, and particularly Teams as the main tool to enable online learning. A range of other platforms are also used by our staff and they will advise their classes about these.

Year 9 Camp

Waimea College camps are open and available to all Year 9s and provide a great platform for personal growth and development as well as creating great connections between students and teachers. It is a highlight for many students’ time at Waimea College.
