Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that can help improve and maintain strength, flexibility, balance, posture and breathing. Ideal for anyone wanting to feel more at ease at the end of a busy day. Each class will include warmups, Qigongs, and Yang style Tai Chi moves. Suitable for all levels of ability. Most people are eligible for a 50% subsidy.

Introduction to Creative Journaling Workshop
Saturday 1.30 – 4.30 pm
Creative journaling offers a way to enhance your wellbeing by expressing yourself through using a blend of creative writing and visual arts. This involves a mix of short and longer guided exercises. This short workshop is not a creative writing or art class and no artistic or writing experience is required. The focus is on the process of creating and not how it looks or reads.

Belly Dance With Gretchen

A fun way to improve flexibility, fitness, coordination, posture, balance, and strengthen your core, all to beautiful Middle Eastern music. Try something different, meet new people and make new friends. Gretchen has been teaching for over 25 years.

Practical Self-Defence
Monday 6.30 – 7.30 pm (6 weeks)
Students will become more aware of their surroundings and potential dangers; to know how to avoid and de-escalate these, and if necessary, respond and recover. There is a practical element to the course – each session will contain group discussions and hands on scenario-based self-defence. You will learn to defend attacks from the front, back, groun-defence and common attacks. No level of fitness required, just a willingness to participate and learn.

Introduction to Animal Care
Tuesday 7.00 – 8.00 pm (6 weeks)
Learn skills and develop confidence to handle and care for domestic animals. This is a great starter for those passionate about animal care, those looking at becoming a new pet owner, or people wishing to do further study. You will learn about animal welfare, animal handling and husbandry, and have an introduction to first aid.
