We know that the last 24 hours have been very difficult for Nelson City residents in particular and we are thinking of those of you who have been evacuated. If you have had to leave your home and require additional support, please let us know. We are also supporting staff who have been evacuated.
Tomorrow was already planned to be a Staff Only Day (NCEA), so students were not attending school. Due to the continued wet weather and state of emergency in Nelson, we have made the decision to close the school tomorrow as well. Official advice is to stay off the roads and we do not want to hamper efforts while the clean-up is happening.
School will be operating as normal on Monday 22 August and we look forward to seeing everyone back at this time. Stay safe and stay dry.
