Rowing success at Maadi Cup |
The Waimea College double sculls team of Sean Ducray and Sam Johnston, who were national under-16 champions in 2012, have progressed to the quarterfinals of the under-17 double after winning their heat.
The duo also made it through to the semifinals of the under-18 double, winning their heat and recording the fastest time across all heats.
With an eye to the future, Ducray and Johnston also turned their hand to the coxless pair, rowing at under-18 level. They finished fifth and will enter the repechage.
