Community Education

Overview

Why not try something new this year? Waimea College Adult and Community Education aims to offer a wide range of interesting, educational, fun and affordable courses to members of our community. Our classes are for adults (over the age of 18 years), there are some exceptions.

We’re very pleased that you are considering participating in further education and learning. What better way to meet like-minded people and enjoy an evening or Saturday workshop. ‘Put a little class in your life!’

How to book

From the course page you will find a “Book Now” button to place a booking. We will email back a confirmation plus an invoice.

You can also book in person at the Waimea College Finance Centre which is beside Reception.

The Finance Centre is open for bookings between 8.30am and 4.30pm including school holidays. Here you may pay by cash or EFTPOS (we are unable to take credit cards). Payment is required at the time of booking.

If a course is full, you can place  your name on a waiting list. You are welcome to book at the last moment if there are spaces still available.

We will send you written confirmation of your booking.

Refunds

Eligible Refunds

  • Students will receive a full refund of fees when a course is cancelled by the Manager due to insufficient bookings. (Cancellation will be notified – usually three days before the course is due to commence).
  • If you are unable to attend a course, and provide at least 48 hours notice before the course starts, you will be refunded your fee less a $10 administration charge.

Ineligible Refunds

  • There is no credit or refund given if a class is unable to be held due to health and safety issues or events beyond our control (eg civil emergency).
  • No refund is given once a course has started and in this situation you cannot transfer your payment to another course.

Courses can only proceed when sufficient bookings are received.
