Associate Deputy Principal (x 2 roles) – Permanent Full-Time from 2020
Our college is a large and progressive coeducational secondary school based in Richmond, Nelson with 1,650 students. Due to the retirements of 2 long-serving and much valued associate deputy principals a rare and exciting opportunity for 2 experienced, suitably qualified educators to join our dynamic senior leadership team from term 1, 2020 to make a positive impact on the lives of our young people. We are very proud of the culture of our school and of the achievements of our students. Our most recent ERO report (June 2019) illustrates our achievements and our journey.
These 2 associate deputy principal roles will support the leadership of the college and contribute to the day-to-day running of the school.
Specific portfolios: These responsibilities will be allocated based on the strengths and experience of the successful candidates.
Shared responsibilities include contribution to:
- Day-to-day organisation, administration and communication
- Staff guidance, welfare and support
- Student guidance, welfare and support
- Contribution to student management and pastoral care including maintaining and enforcing standards of behaviour, attendance, uniform etc.
- Ongoing development of policy and procedures
- Supporting co-curricular and extracurricular activities
- Leading and/or coordinating special events/projects
- Appraisals of delegated staff
- Student enrolments
- House responsibility.
